72. OLIVE COLOR

This was a fashionable colour of its time, despite its price tag. Mrs Delany, the 18th century writer, records having her English room “painted a sort of olive for the sake of my pictures”. Consider pairing this rich green paint colour with a dark blue such as Dock Blue or the neutral, Silent White.
